Scholarship Information
In 1994 the family of Ronald Cavanaugh established this scholarship to honor his memory. A Kalamazoo native, Cavanaugh earned a degree in business administration from Western Michigan University in 1967.
He went on to enjoy a successful career in the paper industry, culminating in the ownership of The Spartan Paperboard Company, a Kalamazoo-based business that recycles odd and bad lots of paperboard from nearby mills into usable paper products.
''Ron loved everything about life '' says his wife, Joan, about his interests which varied from music and theater to coaching and playing softball. His tenacity and enthusiasm, evident to everyone who knew him, helped make Ron Cavanaugh a success.
