The Kalamazoo Community Foundation recently honored Kalamazoo attorney C. Reid Hudgins III of Kreis, Enderle, Hudgins & Borsos as the 2012 recipient of its Philanthropic Leadership Award.
The Philanthropic Leadership Award is given each year in recognition of the recipient’s commitment to the greater Kalamazoo community and his or her outstanding leadership in advancing philanthropy throughout the region.
Hudgins served on the board of trustees of the Irving S. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival, and is vice president and a trustee of The Bishop Whittemore Foundation. He is a past chairman of the board of Heritage Community of Kalamazoo, and a past secretary of the Gull Lake County Club.
According to Carrie Pickett-Erway, president/CEO, Kalamazoo Community Foundation, "We created this award to honor professional advisors who see their clients not simply as investors in the marketplace, but as individuals with diverse backgrounds, life experiences and aspirations for the community they live in and love."
"Reid exemplifies the very best in our community and we are so pleased to present him with this award and publically acknowledge all he does to make the greater Kalamazoo area a better place," says Pickett-Erway.
Previous recipients of the Philanthropic Leadership Award include Dan Dement of DeMent and Marquardt; Barbara James of James & Springgate; Michele Marquardt of DeMent and Marquardt; and Danielle Streed of Redmond, Streed & Yokom.
