Kalamazoo Community Foundation (KZCF) is seeking volunteers to serve on its new Impact Investment Committee. The deadline for applications is Aug. 31, 2018.
Impact Investments generate measurable social and environmental impact, as well as a financial return. Management of this portfolio will focus on Kalamazoo County using a comprehensive community investment strategy that supports or supplements goals of KZCF grantmaking and initiative work in equity.
KZCF is looking for candidates with a background in impact investing, finance, or business operations through paid or volunteer experiences. Candidates will also demonstrate an understanding of social issues in Kalamazoo County.
"We’re looking forward to the launch of this committee," says Vice President for Administration & Finance Susan Springgate. "Working alongside staff, and making recommendations to our board of trustees, community representatives will add value to KZCF's impact investing throughout Kalamazoo County."
Committee members will be selected and notified no later than Oct. 15, 2018, and will serve for two-years. The time commitment involves preparing for and attending local quarterly meetings.
The application, including details of committee member responsibilities, is online at kalfound.org/About/ImpactInvestingCommittee.
