Kalamazoo area students pursuing education beyond high school received 376 scholarships totaling $1.2 million from us in the third quarter of 2014.
"Each year, with the support of our donors, we invest more than a million dollars in area students to help them pursue their educational dreams," says Joanna Donnelly Dales, vice president, Donor Relations. "Education is a top priority for the Community Foundation and our scholarship program is an essential tool we have to help people reach their full potential."
Over the years we’ve awarded about $26 million dollars in scholarships. Click here to learn more about the scholarships we offer to area students.
In addition to scholarship awards, the Community Foundation awarded more than $2 million in grants:

- 79 distributions totaling almost $1.3 million from funds established for nonprofit organizations; and
- 11 grants totaling more than $92,000 from Field-of-Interest Funds (donor-created funds that focus on specific areas of need).
